Song: Where Do We Draw the Line
by: Poets of the Fall
On your palm an endless wonder
Lines that speak the truth without a sound
In your eyes awaits the tireless hunger
Already looks for prey to run down
So why do we keep up this charade
How do we tell apart the time to leave from the time to wait
What does tomorrow want with me
What does it matter what I see
If it can’t be my design
Tell me where do we draw the line
The dance of flames and shadows in the street
Make poetry nobody’s ever heard
The weight of loneliness stands on your feet
The cage already there around the bird
So why don’t we join the masquerade
Before it all falls apart before our love becomes insatiate
What does tomorrow want with me
What does it matter what I see
If I can’t choose my own design
Tell me where do we draw the line
Where’s the cooling wind
Where’s the evergreen field
Where’s my mother’s open arms
Where’s my father lionheart
S’like the sun’s gone down
Sleeps in the hallowed ground now
With the autumn’s browns leaves
With the one who never grieves
What does tomorrow want with me
What does it matter what I see
If we all walk behind the blind
Tell me where do we draw the line
Whatever tomorrow wants from me
At least I’m here, at least I’m free
Free to choose to see the signs
This is my line

Poets of the Fall …
Poets of the Fall are fantastic. I fell in love with em after hearing Late Goodbye while playing Max Payne 2 (fitting song for such a game) and they just seem to get better and better. This song, along with Carnival of Rust and Save Me are some of the best songs i’ve ever heard.

Our world is becoming to technical.
Soon, the cooling wind will be just a memory.
The evergreen field will only be seen on pictures…
Open arms, will become just a senseless tradition.
And perhaps we wont even have fathers to return to anymore in future…
But always remember, a sun that goes down, means that after a long period of darkness and slumber, dawn will arise.

Something… …
Something…occurred yesterday, as I was listening to this song.
I was wasting time considering my life and past, and came to realize this song was…me.
Without any interpretation at all, it just…clicked. Fit with everything in my past and present.
I know, you’re going “ooh, emo wolfie, want some fries with that angst”. Well, foo on you. What’s true is true, and can’t be escaped any more than my life can be.
The question is…where does my line lead me?
April 1st, 2010 at 5:06 pm
The song is very …
The song is very haunting and heartfelt…sad, and evocative.
Already it’s inspired me to write something to fit it, a short tale of uncertainty, woe, and finally, resolve.
“Whatever tomorrow wants from me, at least I’m here. At least I’m free. Free to choose to see the signs… This is my line.”
I will not be a pawn, of fate nor of man.
This is my line.

can anyone to take …
can anyone to take out the lyrics from this song and let only the instrumental part? I want to hear the piano… is very… I can’t explain in words, but i would like to listen this song only instrumental and play it in a high volume… i don’t have anything against the lyrics or the voice, the song is very good and very true… but imagine listening only the instum part when from chilling sounds goes to powerful ones… it’s amazing… very good song Poets of the Fall…

Where’s the cooling …
Where’s the cooling wind?
Where’s the evergreen field?
Where’s my mother’s open arms?
Where’s my father lionheart?
It’s like the sun’s gone down.
(This makes me cry every time.)
